Islamabad: Passengers have requested the local government to connect Orange Line Bus Service with Saddar-Secretariat Metro Line (Faiz Ahmad Faiz Station) to enable them to avail this facility easily.
According to the details, Orange Line bus service recently inaugurated by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is currently operating from NHA Station (Sector G-9) at Islamabad International Airport.
Passengers wishing to get to the airport using the metro buses from Saddar to the Secretariat have difficulty accessing the NHA station as no public transport service is available in this area.
If the Orange line bus service is connected to the Metro bus service route, it would greatly facilitate passengers who can access the airport from major areas in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
It is pertinent to mention here that passengers also highly appreciate the Orange Line bus service as the ride is free in the month of Ramazan on the directives of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
Passengers from the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad spend at least Rs. 2,000 to reach Islamabad International Airport using a private taxi service. But the new bus service gave them the opportunity to save this amount and reach their destination at a nominal fare.
Mudassar Hamid, a passenger, said: “The Orange Line bus service is a good addition to the transport system, otherwise passengers have no choice but to pay thousands of rupees to private taxis to get to the airport. ‘airport.”
