Guided factory tours

Factory Tours can be fun and educational. Often everyday objects can pose many questions to an enquiring mind. 'How is it made?', 'how do they seal the container?, 'How do they put the label on'? the list of questions is almost endless. Now imagine the complexity of building a car or a plane or even a computer?

Many companies would be delighted to show off their products, after all a satisfied visitor may decide to buy their product either now or in the future.

There are many additional benefits also. What about the value of the tour? You are able to demonstrate how great your product is to a visitor who is already showing interest. The factory tour will be an advert now and for many years to come. Your visitor will probably tell others all about the tour and the fantastic product you make. Many people say that the best adverts are 'Word of mouth' adverts.

There are many positives from a factory tour and some clever companies have solved the problems posed by health and safety issues. Many companies offer guided tours that end in a visit to the factory shop. I have provided a few examples below. I would be delighted to hear about any other UK factories that have good tours. PLease send any information to FactoryTours@qibs.co.uk Thank you.
