We have tried to find the best swimming pools, Water parks and Fun pools in the UK. We searched
for swimming pools that also had Wave machines, water slides, spas, bubble pools, todlers creek,
jacuzzi and aqua aerobics classes. We also looked at facilities. Can you you take swimming lessons
for example? For toddlers, older or disabled people, can they walk into the water because the
swimming pool starts with a beach and just gently slopes down to deeper water?
Many fun pools are designed
as tropical lagoons with water side cafe's,
beaches, slides, water cannons, lazy rivers and many other features that make them ideal for a day
trip. However, it wasn't possible to include them all. Hopefully, this page
will provide a few of the best swimming pools in the UK. However, if you are just searching for inspiration
for things to do with the family why not explore some of our other pages.
The
Midlands has many swimming pools but hardly any can be classed
as fun pools. The biggest and most popular in the area is Water World.
Water World is one of the UK's top Tropical Indoor Aqua Parks. The
Facility is built around a wave pool with slides, rides, flumes and
includes an indoor water roller coaster. There is plenty to do for
all ages, weak and strong swimmers. Waterworld attracts over 400,000
visitors a year making it a leading visitor attraction in North Staffordshire but also a very busy place.
Center Parcs have four Holiday Villages in the UK; each one set in a forest environment, providing high quality
holiday accommodation in fully equipped villas, apartments and holiday lodges. Each Village offers an extensive range of sports and leisure activities
all centred around a huge tropical lagoon style fun pool. Each complex
has a range of different bars and restaurants serving foods from around
the world. On-site facilities also include sports centre's where badminton
and other sports can be played. Cycles can be hired to enjoy cycling along
forest tracks. Other facilities include ice rinks and lakes for water
sports.
Butlins at Bognor Regis and Minehead have Splash Waterworlds and the Fun Pools have a shallow beach area with mini slides and paddling pool ( ideal for babies and young children to splash
safely in). Waterfalls, wave machines, exciting rapids, cool flumes, water cannons, and a Space Bowl for older kids. For those who just want to relax there are relaxing
bubble pools to enjoy in the warm, subtropical climate.
Minehead and Bognor Regis also have outdoor fun pools open between June - August. Butlins Skegness also has a Splash Waterworld but it is closed for refurbishment in 2012.
